The Tutorial, which has a total run time of slightly over 1 hour and 25 minutes, is divided into six chapters of approximately 15
minutes each. Each chapter focuses on one or two fundamental concepts and builds on the previous chapters. You can repeat each chapter until you have mastered it and then go on to the next.
After successful completion, you should understand the basic Bookkeeping / Accounting processes, understand the Accounting
Classifications, understand Debits / Credits and why we need Double Entry, be able to read, interpret, and validate a basic Balance Sheet and Statement of Income and Expense, understand Liability Accounts and Pass
Thru Accounts.
This Tutorial is not dependant on any specific Accounting Software. These principles apply to all Accounting Systems. This Tutorial
does NOT attempt to address the principles of Fund Accounting (which will be addressed in a separate Tutorial). A Quiz (with a separate answer key) is included.
